Cars for sale

From time to time customers ask me to try and sell their cars through my website. I am happy to do this on a commission basis and on the understanding that I do not guarantee the car.

1964 SP 250 - SOLD

SP 250 for sale
Dart for sale
This is an opportunity to acquire one of the last SP 250s to come off the assembly line. It was manufactured in May 1964, is C specification and has been with its current owner since 1985. It has retained the maroon and grey colour scheme it left the factory with and has some sensible upgrades fitted, the better to deal with today's road conditions. The steering is rack and pinion, the brakes are servo assisted, overdrive is available on 3rd and top plus the RGR rear telescopic damper kit has been installed.

1967 Daimler Saloon 4.5 V8 - aka "The Beast"

Daimler saloon for sale
The Beast was always intended to be a “back burner” project used to fill in those hours should there be a shortage of customer cars to work on. However, and I have to say fortunately, we have simply been inundated with work. Even Brexit, Covid, Putin and the threat of recession haven’t brought about any let up in throughput and we currently have a number of restorations to complete for customers around the globe. There simply aren’t enough hours to devote to this project without disappointing some of our customers and so, reluctantly, it is up for sale.

We would prefer to sell this as a complete package to someone with the time and resources necessary to complete the build as so much work has been undertaken to date. A brief summary is as follows:
  • The body has been acid dipped, all corrosion dealt with using repair panels and painted in weld-thru primer
  • A fully dressed 4.5 litre Daimler V8 engine and Borg Warner DG automatic gearbox is included. This came from a low mileage Majestic Major which was running superbly with no apparent powertrain defects
  • The rear axle has been overhauled, a limited slip differential fitted together with a 3.31:1 final drive. A new coil spring 5 bar link rear suspension is included
  • All exterior brightwork has been re-chromed with the exception of headlamp surrounds and bodyside mouldings (replacement with new parts is more cost effective}
  • The instruments have been refurbished, tested and recalibrated by a Smiths expert and a MkII 3.8 speedo is included (140 mph)
  • A high output heater refurbished by the OEM
  • Period Blaupunkt radio with aux socket for MP3
  • All interior wood refurbished by ex Rolls Royce specialist
  • Seats, glass, brakes, new seals, suspension and minor controls/ancilliaries etc are all included and the car requires very few parts to complete all of which are readily available (eg: wiring loom. fuel and brake pipes)
  • This is the slim bumper facelift model

This is a superb opportunity to create the car that Jaguar should have built. An improved power to weight ratio means that it will be quicker than a 3.8 and it should handle better by virtue of its more balanced weight distribution. Call me for more information. If you would prefer a standard 2.5 V8, I could provide this with a BW type 35 auto in place of the Majestic Major powertrain. Offers sought in the region of £12,000
